BIANCHI Specialissima Pantani Oropa

This is the latest Pantani commemorative bike from Bianchi

It all stems from one of Il Pirata's greatest victories, his 1999 Giro comeback from a mechanical to win the stage climbing up to the Sanctuary of Oropa!

What happened was - his chain jammed just before the climb. He lost over half a minute to his rivals at the side of the road, before getting back on his bike and then climbing to victory. The Italians called it 'La Rimonta del Secolo' - 'the comeback of the century' - and reminisce of Pantani's most memorable effort!
