The SpeedBar is built around a mould taken from your lower arm. It guarantees that you have the maximum support and control that you need during your ride. Wind tunnel tests have shown a gain of between 11 and 23 watts!!!
This all sounds great - the only downside is that they are €2,999 per pair!!!
But now, LOOK has introduced its Aergo, an aerobar which, among other things, extends forward the armrest, thereby spreading the rider’s body weight across a greater surface area, just like the SpeedBar
It is not a bespoke bar (like the SpeedBar), but an off the shelf option, so costs just €1,099

It does not matter from which angle you look at it, AERGO makes the forearm of the rider completely disappear from the wind, while being completely UCI legal. The rider creates 80-85 % of the aerodynamic resistance. According to the rider’s morphology, flexibility and back angle, the arm position must be adjusted in order to reduce the aerodynamic resistance. A perfect AEROBAR must offer a very large range of positions so that any rider’s position can be optimized. The AERGO does it.
